Boron is from Montreal. He has worked at other science camps before. It is his first time in the far north. He likes the food and the fact that he has his own classroom in which to work in. He is an engineer down south. He will be doing the same job as Homer Simpson when he returns to the south.



Arsenic is from Kangiqsualujjuaq. She works at the school as a student counsellor. It is her first time attending a science camp. It is fun for her. She thought it would be fun to be with students. She likes meeting new people, good food, playing the mother role. She also likes her time off during the day when the students are in workshops.


Potassium is from Kuujjuaqq. He is a teacher at Jaanimmarik School. He is the assistant chef. Last year he attended the science camp in George River . He likes good activities and is impressed with teens participating in activities. He is very happy to see students working hard.


Radon is from Ivujivik. It's his first time attending a science camp. He is here to help the monitors at the camp and he is also learning some fun science stuff. He likes to learn new things and meet new people. His favourite thing to do is playing sports.



Nitrogen now lives in Montreal but is originally from Salluit. She works for K.S.B. and is the girl's culture counsellor. It is her third science camp. She likes it here. She likes to help students with any problems they might have and encourages them in their learning. She is a happy mother and grandmother. She has met new people and made new friends.



Aluminium is from Kangiqsualujjuaq. She works at Ulluriaq school and is a grade 7 teacher. She is really enjoying her time in Inukjuaq. She thinks it's fun teaching secondary students. Working on the web pages is very demanding. Don't look for her late at night, she's working on the computer. During the day she is.busy running the Journalism and Web Page Design Workshop with her "A One" team of journalists. She thinks science camps are a wonderful opportunity for young Inuit students to experience new things about themselves and the world around them.


Carbon lives in Montreal. He is the director of the science camp. He is replacing last year's director who is now in Uganda, Africa. He is kept on his toes looking after all the little details around the camp. In the evenings he too can be found working away on the computers helping Aluminum with the website pages. He likes the atmosphere of friendship and learning that happens at science camp. It is fun to watch the students having fun with science. He also feels that it is a treat to be able to use the resources provided by the Nunavimmi Pigiursavik center for this year's edition of the camp. Science camp really does have a little something for every student with a little curiosity.


Cobalt is from Ottawa. She is running a workshop on Forensics and doing other fun chemistry activities.. She just graduated from teacher's college. She taught in other science camps in Yellowknife and Chisasibi. She likes the other teachers and loves the students. She adds, "Hooray for the Science camp!"


Helium is from Ottawa. He works for ACTUA. His organization is the one that finds the talented animators that we are fortunate to have with us in camp. This is his first time in the north. He has been invited to visit our science camp this summer. He likes all the cool stuff he is seeing.


Neon is from Kangiqsualujjuaq. He is a Physical education teacher in his community. He is the recreation coordinator and is here with his family and friends. He likes the camp because he gets to meet new people.


Niobium is from Edmonton, Alberta. She is still in school and will soon get her Masters in Computer Engineering. It's her first time attending a science camp. She thinks the students have lots of energy. She loves the view from the window, campers working hard, the food and meeting new people.


Silver is from Montreal. She is an ESL counselor at K.S.B. It is her second science camp. She thinks the workshops are lots of fun and enjoys seeing the students participating and interacting. She is making sure that everyone is met at the airport and hopes that everyone makes it out on schedule.



Iodine is here from Montreal. He is teaching the popular animation class. His first time in Nunavik was last year at the science camp in Kangiqsualujjuaq. He finds the science camp more relaxing than school.



Tungsten in from Kuujjuaq. He is a secondary teacher at Jaanimmarik school. It is his first time attending a science camp. He is having a great time. He likes the campers, staff and the food.

Titanium is the principal at the school in Ivujivik. It is his first science camp. Hethinks Inukjuaq is a great place. He especially likes Cobalt. He likes the food, kitchen work and his helper, Potassium. He is an excellent cook and we are all happy he was able to get here despite the weather.

Hydrogen is from Ottawa. She is a councellor/ instructor at the science camp. She is running the Biomechanics and Geodesic Dome Planetarium workshop. It is her first time in Nunavik. She likes to hang out with everyone but doesn't like the fact that she has to boil the water here before drinking it.



Nickel, lead's sister, is having fun meeting new friends here in Inukjuaq. She will be in Grade 3 French class in the fall. It is her second time attending a science camp with her parents. She especially likes playing with wild birds found on the land. She really enjoyed cooking with Cobalt.

Mercury is from Akulivik. She is going into Sec. 5 in the fall. She is a junior counselor for the English and French camp. Last year she attended the science camp in Kangiqsualujjuaq. She thinks it's fun to be with friends here and being a junior counsellor.

Lead, Aluminium and Neon's son is making people believe he is from Montreal. He says this is his first time at a science camp but that simply is not true and if you were at last year's camp you would know that. He likes playing games, sports and meeting new people. He says people are nice to him and he likes it here.

Radium is from Salluit. She is in Sec. 5. It is her second time attending a science camp. This year she is a junior counselor along with Mercury. Her favourite workshop is Biomechanics. She is enjoying her time away from home.

Calcium is from Inukjuaq. He works for K.S.B. in the residence at the Nunavimmi Pigiursavik Center. He is a student animator by day. He has never attended a science camp before. He thinks it's good for students from other communities to learn about new things.

Uranium is from Inukjaq. She works at the Nunavimmi Pigiursavik Center residence. She is a student animator. She thinks the science camp students are great. She is seeing people participating, are well-behaved and keep the place clean. She believes cience camps are good for teens.
