The Video Making Stream

The students chose from a list of four "streams" in which to do a concentration during their week at science camp. One of these streams was the video making stream.

The video making stream was by far the most popular stream choice among the students present in camp. Louis Dionne, a professional videographer was present for the duration of the camp to show the students the work that goes on behind the scenes during the making of a video.

The students learned how to operate digital still and video cameras, manipulate sound booms and write scripts for short videos. Some of the campers even set up a short talk show scenario and interviewed subjects on video. The students also circulated around and visited the other streams to film the activities taking place there.

Some of the footage shot by the students may end up being incorporated into a video being made about this year's edition of science camp.

Below are some pictures taken over the course of the video making stream.
