Boat Building Workshop

The boat building workshop tested the students creativity in designing an object that would float and support a weight on water. Some of the students created some self-propelling vehicles. A number of campers attempted to build submarines, to varying degrees of success.

The students were taught about the various factors involved in the design and construction of boats. All of the materials used were simple materials that can be found in any of the northern communities from which the students arrived from.
